If it means anything to you, this day is one in which you can create maximum opportunity. This day is one in which you can generate the kind of experience and contribution for someone like you have never done before. I woke up this morning at 5:40 am which is a little earlier than usual. Getting up early has allowed me to think about what I am thankful for, what I am sorry and what I would like to do for the day.
Giving thanks for the many great things in life allows us to start the day seeing the cup half full. We are no longer starting from scratch when we give thanks. We can see what we resources we have and how truly wonderful life really happens to be.
Saying sorry for things we have done or not done by our thoughts, words or actions helps us to realize that we are all make mistakes. Acknowledging our mistakes helps us to keep our hearts soft and our minds focused on improving. Even though we are seldom if ever able to really get it all right each day, we can do our very best.
Thinking each day about what we can contribute during that day keeps us conscious of the lives and needs of others. It keeps us from becoming caught in a trap whereby everything seems to be stuck in a mundane state. Rather we look at each day and we ask God to show us how He would like us to carry out our responsibilities and our lives to help others. It is so much better to give than to receive.
Have a great day and give all you can.
